Infection and Trouble! [Nuzlocke]

A woman in seemingly dirty blue pants and a dull grey t-shirt sighed as she followed her Pichu onto route one. She watched as her Pichu jumped about happily, but cautiously before turning to the woman and waving at her. It seemed to be telling her to speed up; it was becoming impatient. Kiara pushed aside a weak and thin branch of a tree, only to have her hair be caught inside, "Ah!" she yelled, pulling her hair free. She finally freed herself and hurried closer to the Pichu, scooping it up, "You're not supposed to be outside right now!" She scolded the Pichu, who simply blew her a raspberry with sparks emitting from its cheeks. The trainer ignored the pokemon's actions before reaching into her bag and bringing out the pokemon's pokeball and returning it, "I'll call you out when I need you!" she promised the pokemon once the ball sealed shut.
Kiara Cook was supposed to be out on a mission for her superiors in SILPH, there was supposed to be someone to help. As she looked around, she saw no one. It was strange, quiet and empty in this forest. Where were the pokemon? Were they hiding from her? Why would they hi-oh...right...the plagues. She thought sadly.

NOTE: This topic was made before the dice were changed so pokemon that appear normally elsewhere might appear here.

A young, fiery haired female has nestled herself in the branches of one of the thin, dark trees that made up the forested area of Route 1. She had clambered up there roughly twenty minutes ago, deeming it a suitable vantage point from which to try and find the partner she was supposed to be doing this mission with. It was only due to her light, small frame that she had climbed up without any of the branches snapping and causing her to fall. A Treecko clung onto a branch above her, using the tiny spikes upon her feet to do so.

Tammie glanced up at her partner Pokémon, "You okay up there?" she asked, eliciting a short nod from the Treecko who then pointed to something in the other direction, a soft, "Tre," accompanying the gesture.
Tammie turned to see what Twayblade was pointing at and grinned when she realised it was another female walking in their direction. The trainer returned a Pichu to it's Pokéball before continuing onward. Creeping forward on her branch, Tammie was about to climb down when she slipped, falling off the branch but hanging onto it with her arms and legs. She ended up hanging upside down in front of Kiara.

"Hello!" she laughed nervously, a few stray leaves fluttering down to the ground like feathers caught in a small breeze.

Kiara yelled in surprise when a girl suddenly swung in front of her and looked at her upside down. Kiara took a few steps back; he feet getting tangled in the undergrowth that littered the floor and fell over. She dropped her bag which caused Saix's pokeball to roll out and open. The pichu had heard of the commotion going on outside and thought that his trainer was in danger. The pichu erupted from the pokeball and landed in front of Kiara protectively, growling at the mysterious person with a treecko. Who did these people think they were? Startling his trainer like this? Sure she wasn't the brightest or the bravest, but she was still his trainer!

Kiara picked herself up quickly, trying to speak but only stuttering on each word. Is this person bad? Are they with SEEK? She calmed herself down a bit as she tried to think more optimistic thoughts, Maybe this person is with SILPH, maybe they're not bad? Her Pichu meanwhile was speaking instead of cowering behind a yellow rat like his trainer was, "Pipipi? Pichu Pehchuuuuu?" <Who are you? Name yourselves!

"S-sorry," blinked Tammie apologetically, still hanging from her branch as she couldn't see how far she was from the ground to drop off.
"I didn't mean to startle you..." it had only been an accident after all. She had fully intended to climb down in a calm and rather more mature looking manner.

Twayblade remained silent from above Tammie, though her yellow eyes were focused on the Pichu below the tree. He was to be commended for protecting his trainer, but the Treecko merely rolled her eyes and replied with a quiet, "Treeck," telling Saix that he had nothing to be afraid of and his trainer's fear was misplaced.

Tammie meanwhile had worked on spotting how far the ground was from her and had let her feet drop, hanging only a short distance from the ground. She dropped the remaining distance, dusting off her hands before holding them up in an apparent gesture to show that she wasn't any danger.
"You must be the other person from SILPH," she began, "Again.. sorry for scaring you. I promise you it was unintended."

Kiara relaxed, this person was from SILPH, a friend. Why would this person lie? Why would anybody lie? Especially at a time like this lying would bring no good. She did wonder, however why the person would suddenly announce themselves as SILPH members. What if she had been with SEEK? She shoved such thoughts out of her mind and spoke nervously, "Y-Yes...I-I am..." The girl brushed off any leaves and dirt that clung to her pants and shirt and combed out leaves in her hair.

Saix stared at the treecko, "Pipiii pichu chu chu..." <You guys still shouldn't have popped out of nowhere like that...> The pichu blew the treecko a raspberry and leaped into his trainer's arms and climbed his way up to her shoulder. He was ready to jump out and thunderbolt anything that would pop out and attack them.

"Teecko, Tre," blinked Twayblade, immediately responding to the Pichu's complaints. She had told him that it was merely an accident, and that her trainer had only been up in the tree so she could see over a larger distance whilst keeping hidden. The Wood Gecko Pokémon then swiftly followed her trainer, clambering from her higher branch to the one Tammie had dropped from, before dropping herself down onto Tammie's shoulder.

"I guess we should introduce ourselves..." blinked Tammie, reaching up to tickle under Twayblade's chin, a small gesture that seemed to show their trust in one another as well as the bond of friendship they shared.
"Well i'm Tammie, and this is Twayblade..." she blinked, smiling to try and make Kiara feel less nervous, the other girl's stutter giving her away.

"Well i'm Tammie, and this is Twayblade..." the trainer smiled.

Kiara smiled nervously. This person did not seem to be of any threat, but she could not help feeling on edge. She swallowed her fear and forced herself to speak, "I-I'm Kiara, a-and this p-pichu here is Saix..." The trainer felt enclosed in this forest, for the undergrowth was everywhere and there was hardly anywhere clear to step except for the path they stood on. She ignored the pichu that had leaped off of her shoulder and back onto the ground.

"Pipipichuuu~" <Whatever~> The pichu spoke to the Treecko as it jumped into the undergrowth. The undergrowth enveloped the Pichu, his ears were the only thing popping out of the bushes and tall grass. It felt comfortable here, where it was completely enclosed in bush and it was hard to see him.

Unlike Kiara, Tammie didn't mind being enclosed in the forest. In fact she marveled at it's beauty and the beauty of the nature here, despite the changes that pollution from the nearby cities had caused. Trees still had green leaves, despite their thinner form and darker bark and it was the fact that such entities could still survive like normal whilst plagues affected lives across the land, that intrigued her.

"Pleased to meet you," Tammie smiled to Kiara, doing her best to calm the fellow SILPH trainer's nerves. Twayblade lifted a paw in greeting, making a gesture almost like a wave. The Treecko also kept an eye on the Pichu as he wandered further away from the three of them.

Twayblade's concern was well placed when a Pokemon came bursting out of the nearby undergrowth. The sudden sound of wing flaps and rustling leaves made Tammie jump, but luckily it was only a perfectly normal Butterfree that hadn't appreciated being disturbed by Saix. It quickly fluttered away, not wanting to risk it's well being by battling unnecessarily.

Kiara was startled even more by the butterfree's sudden bursting from the undergrowth, she yelped along with bringing her hands to her mouth to silence her cry. Saix merely watched as the butterfree fled like a coward. The pichu huffed in annoyance of his trainer's cowardice and spoke, "Pipip pichuu chu chu" <Scardy cat, it was as scared of you as you are of it>

"Pleased to meet you," Tammie smiled. She seemed to be putting on a friendly appearance. Which ensured that she was friendly in Kiara's mind.

"S-Sorry for being s-so jumpy...I-I'm always like this around people I don't know..." The brown haired trainer spoke. Her differently colored eyes blinked when she finally remembered that they were supposed to be doing something, "Erm...what were we supposed to be doing again?" she asked,

"It's fine," she replied cheerfully, a small smile still gracing her features as she watched the Butterfree flutter off into the sky. She thought it's movements were most graceful, despite it's hurried exit fro the area. Tammie then turned to Kiara once more to answer her question; "I believe we're supposed to be patrolling the area and reporting whatever we find. Seems like they didn't give us anything specific to look for..."

Tammie turned and glanced around the area. There didn't seem to be much here other than the thin trees and the bushes that made up the forest's undergrowth. Despite this she knew she needed to keep her eyes peeled, lest she run into a pokemon affected by one of the many plagues that affected the Sympho region.

"O-Oh..." The nervous teenager replied. She looked down, then about the place. Where is Saix? She thought, she looked around a bit more. She did not see the large eared yellow rat anywhere, not even the tips of the pokemon's ears could be found! She called his name out once, "Saix?" and received no reply. She began to grow a bit panicked; her Pichu was missing!

Saix sighed when he heard his trainer's panicked cried for him. He turned around and began to walk back to the cowardly girl. He mumbled to himself about his trainer's annoying cries and how she should learn to be more brave and calm down about everything. He did not understand on how someone so paranoid could be so gullible as well. He sighed, he would never understand his trainer.

Tammie returned her attention to Kiara when she called out Saix's name. She hadn't spotted the Pichu when glancing around. Luckily he soon reappeared, Twayblade giving a small shake of her head in disapproval, both at the mouse pokemon's disappearance, and at the small amount of mutterings she could hear as he returned.

Tammie too gave a small sigh of relief as she saw the Pichu's tall ears making their way back towards them. She couldn't help but wonder what sort of partner pokemon would wander off like that when it would only serve to worry their trainer. Deciding not to judge the little Pichu for it however, she remained silent. Silent that was until she noticed something sticking out of the undergrowth. It looked like a vine with a leafy bud attached to it, but she knew it wasn't, remembering some of the lessons her carer had taught her before letting her go out into the world.

"Saix stop!" she called, however it was too late. The Pichu had stepped on the tail of a Simisage, one that apparently didn't take the situation very lightly and proceeded to growl at the Pichu.

The simisage had been about to attack the small terrified pichu, when the sound of high pitched clinking came near. A SWEEPbot Lefeon clashed into the Simisage, "LEAFEON." <Exterminate.> The robot pokemon spoke as it crashed into the other grass type pokemon. The Simisage seemed terrified of the small robot leafeon and attempted to flee, but the robot quickly appeared in front of him and stood in his path. It seemed to be a malfunctioning one that thought the simisage was a zombie because of its green color.
Saix was quickly collected and picked up by his trainer, "We should really run!" she told her friend. Her speech attracted the attention of the leafeon. It seemed to stare at them, as if scanning its database to see if they were ones it should attack.

Tammie hadn't been scared of the Simisage, after all she had known it was there and it only needed to be calmed down after being woken accidentally. This SWEEPbot however, was rather terrifying. Unable to talk with it like a human being or a normal Pokemon, a robot would do what it was programmed to do.

"I think that's a good idea," replied Tammie, wondering whether to make a break for it as the Leafeon turned it's attention towards them. She didn't want to hang around for it to decide to attack them after all. Watching the robot for a few seconds, she turned to Kiara.
"Does Saix know any electric type moves? I figure if you used one it might short circuit the thing long enough for us to run."

Saix responded for his trainer, though it was more an act of terror than an act of planning. The pichu leaped out of his trainer's arms and into the air, "Piiiiiiiiiii..." it cried as yellow sparks danced around the pichu. The sparks grew bigger and thicker until they finally formed a lightning bolt that shot towards the robot pokemon.

"Leaf." <Pain.> The thin and agile leafeon spoke before toppling over, as soon as the attack stopped the self repair mode activated as it attempted to repair its database and circuits from the attack. It seemed to be repairing fast, and determined that the pichu was the enemy.

Kiara collected her pichu once more and led the way for them to run which was in the opposite direction of the leafeon. The simisage followed her for a moment, out of blind fear, before realizing it was near a human and fleeing the other way.

Tammie watched as the Leafeon SWEEPbot toppled over fro the effects of the Pichu's electrical attack. It didn't take long for it to start to recover however, and Tammie quickly dashed after Kiara, Twayblade hopping into her trainer's arms rather then continuing to reside on her shoulder as they ran.

The ginger female couldn't help but feel a little sorry for the Simisage as it blindly dashed forwards, attempting to escape from the man made creature that had come crashing through the forest's undergrowth. Hearing the robot Leafeon chasing after them already, Tammie quickly searched for an area in which to hide. Spotting a denser area of trees and undergrowth, she called out to Kiara.
"In there!"

Wasting no time, Tammie quickly dodged into the denser area, running a short distance before getting down and lying on her stomach. Twayblade had nimbly leaped down and was lay next to her trainer, both sets of eyes watching carefully for the SWEEPbot.

Kiara and Saix followed Tammie and Twayblade. The two kept quiet, Saix was prepared in case they were found and Kiara was frozen in fear. The two watched as the robot leaped forward, looking around and scanning the area to find something to recognize as an enemy. Its leafy tail gave a swish as it spotted some unfortunate soul in the distance and leaped over the bush the group was hiding in and into the trees where is jumped from tree to tree and disappeared in the blink of an eye to do its duty as a SWEEPbot. Kiara sighed in relief, that sweepbot seemed dangerous, she didn't know if they would've been able to handle it with how weak Saix was compared to it.

Tammie didn't even realise how tense she was until the Leafeon had hopped away into the distance and her muscles had all relaxed and she'd let out a breath she didn't know she'd been holding in. With a quiet sigh of relief, the ginger haired female glanced over her shoulder just to double check that the Leafeon hadn't turned around, before she slowly got to her feet, dusting dirt and stray leaves from her clothes.
"Holy crap that was close," she breathed. Twayblade looked up at her trainer, apparently still as calm as ever despite the situation they had just avoided.
"Perhaps we should get moving just in case it decides to come back..."

Kiara nodded shyly as her Pichu hopped out of arms and blew yet another raspberry in the direction of the leafeon. The pichu laughed, the leafeon had not even been able to touch them! He couldn't believe that robots could be that stupid! That was until a large pink but hard tail of a tankbot skitty slammed into him and sent him flying into his owner's arms once again.
Kiara was startled as a large and rather thick skitty growled at them with a mechanic voice.
"Th-There sure are a lot of TANKbot pokemon a-around here!" she finally spoke as she stood up again with her dazed Pichu who could have sworn he was seeing double.

Tammie made something that sounded like an 'eek' sound, stepping backwards slowly in an attempt not to catch the robot Skitty's attention with any sharp movements. It was rather useless though and the TANKbot soon was headed straight towards them. Unfortunately for the Skitty, it was incredibly slow and Tammie called out to Kiara.
"Perhaps it's something we should put in our report!"

After that she promptly turned tail and ran, scooping Twayblade into her arms as she did so. "TANKbots are too slow so we can easily out run them," she remembered, saying it out loud to convey her intentions to her companion.

The skitty-robot meowed a mechanical meow as it chased after them, its legs struggling to carry its weight as it neared the trainers. When Tammie suggested running, Kiara nodded and soon followed, "Is there ANYTHING that we actually stand a chance against!?" the young trainer cried as she ran after the other young girl. Saix soon recovered from his dazed state, he lifted his head to find himself being carried like a baby through the forest. He despised being carried like this, but he was still to stunned from the attack to move. He was lucky that it wasn't an actual attack and did not do much damage to the small electric mouse pokemon.

"I have no idea!" replied Tammie, not stopping as she continued to run. She was quite a fit person, having been rather active when under the care of the SILPH trainer that had adopted her. However despite this even she couldn't run forever. Glancing back she figured they'd made good distance between themselves and the slow TANKbot and she slowed down, finally coming to a halt and leaning against a nearby tree to catch her breath.
"How are you holding up?" asked Tammie. Twayblade clambered down from her trainer's arms and stood neatly on the ground, glancing around and keeping an eye out for any other hostile Pokemon.

Kiara, having spent most of her life in luxury, was breathing heavily. She was panicked still and thought that the skitty was the most terrifying thing to have ever lived at the moment. That was until she saw a large green bug pokemon fly over them, having not noticed them, while holding a strange looking crate with the tankbot skitty inside of it. The Yanmega hovered above the trees not too far from there and descended as the skitty robot in the crate went berserk in trying to destroy the cage's bars. Kiara stared at the scene until the two disappeared behind some trees, "I-I'm fine but, Wh-what was that?" she spoke.

Tammie was quite calm now that her heart rate had slowed back to normal. She glanced up in the air as a shadow fell over them, watching in awe as a large bug Pokemon flew over them. It was quite a majestic creature, even if a bit creepy looking. Tammie assumed it was the eyes.
"I believe that was a Yanmega..." blinked Tammie in response to Kiara, "Though I have no idea why it's carrying away that TANKbot Skitty..."

There were two possibilities here. Either SEEK was recalling their robotic creations.. or rather recapturing them for some reason, or someone else was stealing them from the area for another reason. Not knowing which was the correct answer, Tammie began to move towards the direction the Yanmega had headed in, keeping to the undergrowth just in case she encountered someone in league with SEEK.

Kiara followed the other trainer, and moved slightly ahead so she could see just what was beyond the bushes and where the Yanmega went. At first all she saw was a Sweepbot Mankey's behind, until the mankey moved to reveal a few more cages of pokemon. Kiara noticed men and women in casual clothes loading the pokemon onto the back of a truck. The people laughed and joked, but when the mankey rattled its cage bars in anger a man yelled at it to knock it off and kicked the cage. He was immediately scolded by his fellow workers for nearly damaging what they called "Merchandise"
"They must be pokemon hunters..." Kiara spoke, assuming the worst. The pokemon in the cages consisted of:
